BREEAM for offices is a market focused tool aimed at encouraging significant improvements in the performance of buildings in the UK, providing recognition in the form of an environmental label. It is a tool to stimulate demand for Green Buildings in the market place and to send positive signals to clients and occupants who wish to do something for the environment.

BREEAM establishes a set of categories under which specific credit requirements are grouped. These are:
